Urgent appointments

You can phone on 01747 840226 to request an urgent appointment, lines are open from 8:30am during our opening times.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use your answers to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or healthcare professional to help you.

If all of the face to face appointments are booked and you need to see the GP urgently, please speak to the receptionist who will be able to speak with the duty GP on your behalf to arrange an appropriate appointment.

If you do need to be seen that day the GP will make an appointment for you.

  • Monday morning and afternoon
  • Monday evening (5pm to 6pm- held at Maiden Bradley Village Hall)
  • Tuesday and Thursday mornings and evenings
  • Friday morning and afternoon

Dr Tamsin Graham

  • Monday morning
  • Wednesday morning
  • Friday morning

Practice nurse appointments

Practice nurse appointments are divided into ‘time zones’.

The early morning appointments are reserved for blood tests so that samples may be sent to the Hospital lab for testing on the same day.

Later morning appointments, after 11.30am, are for other routine appointments. There are late afternoon and early evening appointments on Tuesday.

Telephone advice

Messages and queries may be passed on by the receptionist, 01747 840226.

Practice nurses are not generally available to receive phone calls but reception staff will pass on messages and requests for advice or information. The nurses will respond when they are available.

Enhanced access

Appointments with a doctor or practice nurse are available until 7pm on Tuesday evenings.

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • by text or email

Appointments by phone is more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment:

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone or face-to-face
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

If you are too ill to attend the surgery and that a home visit from the doctor is necessary, please phone the Surgery before 10.30am. The doctor will phone before visiting.
